I managed to track the photographer (Jan Persson) via Ghetty Images who, although recently passed away, has about 20 photos of Miles commencing with his 1982 period (please see below link). I am not sure if the first 20 or so images are from the above mentioned Hammersmith concert, but they are definitely from the same tour of that year, or there abouts.
In some images the suit looks ‘white’ (I always thought it was!) but in actual fact it may be a pale brown? I don’t know. Perhaps it’s the stage lighting FX?
