I tested this this on 10.5.12 and it seems like unchecking “Suspend VST3 plug-in processing” helps mitigate the CPU overloads. Video demonstration with Black Box HG-2 below:
However, I do think a bug fix is necessary because the plugin still works normally in 10.0.40 with or without “Suspend VST3 plug-in processing” checked.
