I was just playing around with this and found that I could reproduce this very consistently by:
- Starting with a fairly complex arrangement of at least 10 tracks using large Expression Maps
- All triggering samples inside VE Pro (local server)
- Set the Locators to an 8 bar loop roughly in the middle of the arrangement
- Set up a key command for ‘Go to right locator’
- During playback, hit that key command
It may take a few beats or even bars for the bug to occur, but with this method, I can pretty much reproduce this 9 out of 10 times on my system. Whereas if I hit stop and ‘Got to right locator’ and then paly the arrangement, the bug does not occur. Note, I do not use the same Expression Map on multiple tracks.
It would be constructive if the Steinberg team could provide some sort of reassurance that this is being worked on and has/hasn’t been reproduced on their computers. This way we the users could help by providing more reproductions like the one above.
