Cubase 10 & Window 10 Crashing when closing

Sometime (about 40% of the time) when ever I close CB10 for the day, or (worse still) close a project to open another, it crashes. :unamused:
I am left with the tool bar on display and nothing functioning. The tab is still on display below and I can’t close it from there. Or even from the task manager. Which reads “Initializing Cubase Pro… Not Responding”

When I reboot the PC and load it again, the project has to load from a previous version. And doesn’t even display itself in the recent project window!

Hi,

Could you attach crash dump file (located in Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps folder), please?

Here you go Martin

Hi,

Reported to Steinberg CAN-24656.

I have that Issue as well not as annoying cause I was done for the day anyways but I would have to reboot the computer if I wanted to start again.

Mine just started crashing on exit almost every time now. Win7.
I get a “REX Shared Library 64.dll” crash…This only started happening after the latest update.

ftr, What soundcard are you using?

Hi,

The crash is in HALion Sonic SE. Please make sure you have the very latest HSSE 3.3 installed.

Do I reinstall CB10 to update HALion Sonic?

Hi,

You can download the latest HALion Sonic SE update here.

I have the same problem
Errors are not saved because I close through the task manager

Yep, Just updated to win 10 and sometimes I get “not responding” and have to close via task mgr also…
ftr, this was happening in 7 too.

Thank you Martin. I will give it a try
