I’ve been demoing C8 for a while now (Nuendo user), and though I love a lot of the new functionality, there seems to be a strange discrapency in performance.
On one hand, cpu the performance (esp. with Asio guard) seems great.
But I’ve been having some real issues with slowness in my current session, which is a fairly big mainly orchestral template (200+ tracks) with VEP, and around 20 audio tracks.
For some reason, I get big stalls, where after saving or playback the app won’t respond, sometimes for 10 seconds at a time. I haven’t found any consistency in the stalls, other than the system being close to max memory.
Nuendo, under the same load, seems to be a lot snappier and responsive…I don’t know if it has to do with using slightly more memory?
Anyone else experiencing this?
