hi all,
i finally got Halion 5 and Sonic 2 running properly.
but i can’t for the life of me get HSO to behave.
i am now getting a program error or fail to load thing.
anyone have similar issues?

Same thing. After installing Sonic 3 SE it keeps asking about unexisting file with instrument list 
Try uninstalling Halion Symphonic Orchestra and then reinstall it again.
