FLAC Import Problem

Hi,

I am unable to import a FLAC file that plays just fine in VLC Media player. VLC reports that it is 16bit 44.1khz stereo but provides no other info as to the proper settings that WL asks (Little-Endian, etc.)

Can someone provide a bit of guidance on how to troubleshoot?

You mean you have a Flac file that opens ok in VLC and not in WaveLab?
If this is the case, please make that file available to me.
What is the origin of the file?

  1. How do I get it to you?

  2. I ripped the track from a commercial CD (my own) about 5-6 years ago using a program called ‘Monkey’ -something-. It was an old ‘playlist manager’ program for Windows XP.

  1. I’m pretty sure that would be a copyright violation—it seems like anyone here could open it.

  2. It’s 13mb and I didn’t think one could upload a file that large.
