eSATA DRive not detected

Hi there,
I just connected an external eSATA Drive (with sample libraries) to my PC. The Windows (XP 32 bit SP 3) system hardware manager has detected it and it is listed there correctly.

But in the windows explorer, it doesn’t show up.

Any idea what I did wrong?

Thanks for any help!

did you check Disk management: Right click My computer choose Manage
What is its status

Check that your eSATA controller is enabled in your BIOS.

You might also require specific drivers for XP and your mobo - my ASUS uses JMicron drivers.

QuBe.

I finally found out what problem is - they sent me a HD in Mac format (!) which was not my fault since I ordered a Win version and the sticker on the package I received read alike.

The exchange is in process.

Thanks for your advices!
