Cubase Elements 10.5 Crashes

Unfortunately there is no log file. All the log files are from a month ago. I uninstalled Cubase Elements, every Halion synth I could find (Sonic, Sonic SE, HALion 5,etc). then I reinstalled Elements 10.5.2. I was able to get Elements to run. Received a number of messages about Halion SE files still on my system. (No idea where they are or why the uninstaller didn’t remove them.)
Then I made the stupid mistake of installing the latest Elements update. Same issue! The nearest I can tell, Elements thinks I’m pirating some HAlion SE product and causes a catastrophic failure.
I’ve reinstalled all the HALion crap, and uninstalled them all again. The crash just say Access Violation then shows a path/filename (Halion SE.dll, which isn’t there). And if you open file folder with the crash report there is no report for today’s date. There is a log file file with the current date titled “HALion Sonic SE”. Below is the contents:

If this is Steinberg’s idea of protecting their software, I will go someplace else. I didn’t install any Halion crap when I reinstalled Elements and then the update. I can see the alerts, and the sounds not working, but this is just stupid to close Elements because the program thinks I have non-licensed software when I clearly paid for Elements.

I’m pissed, and by the general forum (which has been locked) I am not alone.
