In fact, I just purchased an adapter today, because I was apparently using a mono one and thus sound would only come out of one side. They are really cheap, most places will sell you one for $2-3. So, I am using a Hosa 3.5 mm TRS to 1/4 inch TRS stereo headphone adapter with my Ci1, and it sounds much better than the mono!
