It would be nice if in the manual Inserting a symbol on one staff, where it says
Select the symbol that you want to insert.
When you move the mouse over the score display, the pointer takes on the form of a pencil.
Would add: assuming in the preferences, “double click symbol to get draw tool” is not selected. Or the message when hover over symbols tell what about the current setting in preference. (Double click to add!).
