Importing VST Racks from Projects

Post by beerbong »

File-Import-Tracks From Project
I'm not sure if this is a limitation, obviously its known but.. I'm not sure why Racks are available to import if nothing gets imported from the actual rack..

expected results
import rack from project loads those racks into the current project.
actual results
import rack instruments results in empty folders and no rack instruments.

Hi,

What do you mean, you can import the Rack Instruments? You can't? Actually what you can import is the VST Instruments folder and subfolder(s). But you don't import the instrument itself.

Use Instrument Track, if you want to import the instrument (VSTi) with the track/data, please.

Thanks Martin for clarification. My point was, however that it's misleading.

Hi,

I agree with you and I reported this to Steinberg in past already too.
