I think this behavior is related to “Count-in” only.
FYI, Studio One behaves same.
Use Pre-roll (Deactivate Count-in), Activate Metronome Click, Check “Click while Playing” in the Metronome Setup
(If you don’t want clicks while record is running, uncheck “Click while Recording”.)
