A consolidated and ergonomic Step Input/Record feature will be terrific. Of the DAWs I’ve used in the past the two that have it figured out are Digital Performer and Pro Tools. Please copy them. It’s basically set up similar to a notation program, with an easily navigable layout for note values and, most importantly, tuplets.
The current multi-step process, using visually unrelated menus and commands, to create a quint/sept/other tuplet is very frustrating. Whereas in PT and DP, you simply call the ratio in the same input window as the note values. Mise en place!! And yes, they are far more commonly used than many would claim. When trying to figure out how to do it, I was surprised at the pushback on this point in other threads.
