It would be nice to enable “delete overlaps” to audio but not MIDI or vice-versa. Sometimes when I have it engaged, I end up accidentally deleting chunks of MIDI that I cannot get back because the region has split and the data has disappeared. This isn’t as much of an issue with audio because you can often peel the region back.
