what I cannot understand is why this is not part of the function from the very beginning. What was the original use-case when this was being designed. Were other DAWs looked at to see how this operation was performed (ProTools does this for instance). What was the original idea of having templates carry audio and midi by default and only option. Was this for dance music people to carry over beats from one project to another?
