Transferring from ex -hard drive cpr files

Post by MarcoDavis123 »

Hi,

Recently, I bought a new computer and I was trying to transfer a tune (cpr file) to the new computer to work on it. However, when I do and then I remove the external drive I lose elements from the project such as the guitar tracks.

I have tried to "Save As" to another location. I have tried to transfer individual tracks to rebuild the projects. But I am not having much luck.

What should I do?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Use Backup Project which will create a new copy of the Project in its own folder with all the Project's audio copied into the new folder structure.

Thanks raino. That worked a treat.

For others - I had to create a new folder (location) to save it in because when I went to the usual folder where I save recent files I got a message saying Cubase needed an empty file. But that is not too much of a problem.

If you want to save yourself a bunch of future heartache always create every new Project in its own folder.
