E-Licenser and Cubase LE 1, LE4, LE 5, LE6

Post by burk1 »

I want to install Cubase LE 1, LE4, LE5, LE6 on Win 7.
According to the artcle, "Cubase AI or Cubase LE 4/5/6 Registration Fails", I have downloaded the installation helper, and the latest e-licenser.
I installed the installation helper, then Cubase LE, LE4, and so on.
However, that crashed my Windows, I had to do a recovery from a backup.

So, what is the correct installation order?
Do I have to install the installation helper, only?
Or must I first install the e-Licenser, and then the installation helper.exe?

Must the e-Licenser programm active and running during the installation of Cubase LE? Or must it be closed?

Best regards, and thank you!

Hi and welcome,

eLCC Helper is just eLCC which forces a new Soft-eLicenser Number. So the order would be first to install eLCC, double-check if there is a Soft-eLicenser Number. If yes, you don't have ti install Helper.

Then activate your Cubase.

You cannot start Cubase before it's activated. If you mean to activate newer Cubase version, when older Cubase is running, I would recommend to quit Cubase when activating.
