On the most recent master I just finished for a client, I went ahead and entered the Xml for all of the mandatory fields.
I gave the customer all the files both with and without metadata, I discussed the issues with him concerning the aggregators. He was really psyched to get versions with and without metadata. He was really happy - even gave me a tip!
