RMS and Peak Meters on tracks / RMS Normalize

I have two suggestions involving RMS metering :

  1. I think it would be great to be able to select RMS metering on individual tracks, group tracks, etc. Might be a cool thing to have in certain situations, if you’re looking for more of an average level of a track, almost more of a VU meter. Not graphically a VU meter, still the same meters, just reading RMS level instead of peak.

  2. The “normalize” feature on the right click menus are great, but they are normalizing to peak level IIRC…the ability to normalize every audio region to say -18 RMS would work WONDERS for gain staging large sessions!!!
