Having a weird issue with Cubase (Pro 8) today that I’m hoping someone can shed some light on. I’m trying to send out MIDI to a synth and bizarrely the MIDI channel itself seems to be acting as an audio channel as well, in a sense. What I mean is, when I solo the MIDI channel I can hear the (hardware) synth - whereas usually I’d have to also solo the armed audio channel to which the synth is connected to hear this. This has never happened before, finding it a bit confusing!
I had to do a reinstall lately of Cubase so maybe this is some new functionality of a newer version that I’m only now stumbling upon - does anyone know how to turn this off, or is it just some weird bug? Hopefully just a tick-box to untick somewhere!
