ASIO soundcard connection drops out

Hi,I am using Cubase Elements 8 on a decent Windows 10 laptop under rs 40000. My ( USB) soundcard is Roland Quad Capture.
I have an increasingly problem: The VST connections with the soundcard drop out frequently during playing and/or recording. Windows 10 has been updated, Cubase reïnstalled, Quad capture reïnstalled. No improvement. The VST connections sometimes can be reset. Spotify can be played with the soundcard.

Very irritating.Does anybody recognize this, Any ( software ) suggestions? Allard
