When I upgraded to VST Connect Pro, I found this useful to disable VST Connect SE to avoid confusion:
From within Cubase, go to menu Studio → More Options → System Component Information, select the “Program Plug-Ins” tab and uncheck “VST Connect SE” and restart Cubase. That removes it from the VST Cloud menu.
