I am in the same track of selecting new hardware, my current PC (i7-2700 4TB HDD , 16GB) is very very slow.
I am more going to stay in the desktop mobo instead of werkstation. I first thought of taking the Asus Prime Z490-A, but after reading many many reviews I’ll probably go for Asus ROG STRIX-490-E Gaming (more connectivity). I guess for me the mobo video is sufficient.
In your configuration your system disk is stil SATA connected which is way slower than a M.2. You could consider a mobo with two M.2 .
I also go from 16MB to 64MB, though maybe 32MB is enough. I can always extend later. You do directly a jump to 128MB ? But I currently fo no vids yet.
