Wholigun (Rap/Hip Hop)

Post by Pat Sullivan »

Beat made and EQ'd in Reason. I tracked, edited and mixed the vocals in Cubase Studio 4 then Mastered in Wavelab 4.

Any tips on getting the Vocals to "Stand Out" would be great... In pro studio songs there seems to be a dimention to the vocals that I am not getting.

Thanks for the listen!

Where's the kick? I can barely hear it. Vocals just need to come up above the band. Maybe double em up to make em bigger? Get a favourite hip hop track of yours that sounds similar imported into Cubase and copy what they do.
Cheers
