RIP Lyle Mays!
Another very bright light... gone way too soon!
You will be missed, and I will always cherish the path you left for us to follow!

Yes. A great musical mind has left us. I will miss him dearly and think of him when I'm 'close to home'.

I was fortunate to see the Pat Metheny group with Lyle Mays four times between 1988 and 2005. I miss seeing them play.
Every time I saw them I came away with the thoughts "If I could play like that! If I could get in a band like that!".
