You could tell her that you love music, that it’s a serious thing for you, asking to accept it, even if she doesn’t understand. At the same time be sure to give her attention, maybe one night take her to the cinema to see a movie she likes, the following night produce music asking “please, give me some time without interrupting, it is important to me”. The following night stay on the sofa talking with her, show interest in her passions (if she has some). And then take some other time to produce music.
