Tempo Track Problem

I’m recording a bluegrass band. When we recorded scratch tracks…one song needed a tempo track with increasing bpm from about 85 in the intro…then a jump to 95…then a jump to 105…then a long steady ramp (8-10 measures) up to 160bpm. all was played perfectly except during the ramp up…they lost it and then recovered at the 160 and stayed there for the rest of the song. Last item last session…sooo…“next session” was the agreed strategy to fix it. I realize with it just being scratch,…that they can re-do…but I want to know how to match up a ramping tempo like that and already recorded audio…workin’ on my engineer chops here!
