I will try to look into Contour drivers however at the moment I’m afraid that’s a dead end. As I said, N4.3 never had this issue and it doesn’t show CPU load on idle, so I suspect that CPU load + spikes during the recording produces my issue.
Regarding upgradabiity of OS X, it’s a long story, which is related to PPC support, Xsan and other Apple incompatibilities.
