Are you sure you're looking at the correct part of PE? That tripped me up initially as I was getting similar readings with PE and TM. You need to enable the Virtual Size.

Attached is a screenshot showing the difference on a fairly small session (although with quite a lot of drum edits).

Mh, well - indeed the Virtual Size is about two times as large. But does this make sence? Now even a "medium sized" project BEFORE any editing and stuff comes close to a critical number - I was working for years with projects like that, usually even twice or tree times as big, both in XP 32 as well as in Win7 64 (32bit host)

I still do not think that my issue regarding strip silence after drum-quantize is a memory thing, and IF it is then something should be fixed, because I am still well below critical RAM areas were usually nothing bad happens in other versions/projects. But I have to say that I never did that strip-silence thing directly after editing/bouncing. Usually later down the road.
