John Ross - The Cutting Edge of Mixing
With over 85 film soundtracks under his belt including renowned films such as De-Lovely, The Butterfly Effect and Blade II, re-recording engineer John Ross is one of the most important people in Hollywood’s audio post scene.
His latest project, Take The Lead starring Antonio Banderas, was the first that John completed in his impressive new post facility in West Hollywood. Equipped with cutting edge technology including two Nuendo systems integrated into an 80-fader Euphonix System 5-MC controller console, the new facility is among the most technologically advanced post production houses anywhere.
John Ross is renowned as a pioneer in digital audio mixing, and has accompanied the development of the System 5-MC as a long-standing Euphonix customer. The work to the hit film Take The Lead was the first sizeable challenge for his new facility, and at the same time a an all-round success in a big, real-world project for Nuendo EuCon, the Nuendo version that integrates directly with EuCon aware hardware consoles and controllers such as the System 5-MC.
