Supervising Sound Editor and Nuendo user Ron Eng has recently begun work on two new film projects: First Snow and a Hollywood remake of the 70s cult classic The Wicker Man, which stars Nicolas Cage, Ellen Burstyn and Molly Parker.
 
CEO and founder of GigEng Productions, Ron’s long list of credits includes projects like the 2005 hit comedy Kicking and Screaming starring Will Farrell and Robert Duvall. We asked Ron about his experiences on Kicking and Screaming with his Nuendo system:
 
“Nuendo worked great on Kicking and Screaming. All the FX's and backgrounds were cut in Nuendo. At Universal Studios, Los Angeles, we predubbed all the FX's, Foley, and Backgrounds out of a dual MADI card Nuendo system onto Universal's digital dubbers. We then put all of the predubbs (a total of 96 tracks) back on the Nuendo system and used it as a playback machine for the final mix. The FX mixer, Gregg Landaker, loved the interface and the fact that he could instantly see, edit, and mix his predubbs inside of Nuendo without having to touch the faders on his mixing console. Thanks again Nuendo!”
